How IT WORKS

STEP 1: QUOTE REQUEST

I regularly partner with clients to source precious stones (natural, antique, and/or lab grown), create custom jewelry pieces. The design process can be completely virtual, or we can meet in person if you are based in Austin, Texas.

Contact us at jennifer@majabond.com or (917) 960-9282 to receive a complimentary price quote based on your design concept, desired metal type, stone type, ring size and project timeline.

STEP 2: CONCEPT & DIAMOND SOURCING

My GIA Graduate Gemologists will hand pick the best stones for your budget. We don't carry any inventory on hand - all precious stones are selected per the requirements of each project.

At this stage, we review Pinterest boards or any other inspo provided by the client. Depending on the complexity of the piece, we may provide sketches to client or go right into 3D renderings to be shared with the client. Our clients will be asked to review and approve the renderings as well as a PDF that is shared for the client to print out, then cut out, and place on the hand (ear or neck) to make sure they are happy with the scale of the piece before manufacturing is started.

STEP 3: WAX PROTOTYPES

Once your design concept is approved and an order placed, we will create a final 3D prototype that will be 3D printed to create a wax model of the piece, which will then be cast into the metal. We send clients plastic prototypes of the piece for clients to approve prior to manufacturing the finished piece. This will be the last chance to provide any modifications to the piece before proceeding to manufacturing.

STEP 4: FINISHED PIECE

Upon your final approval, our world-class jewelers in NYC will cast your design in the recycled precious metal of your choice. They will then work their soldering, stone setting, metal-polishing magic. Maja Bond hand-inspects each piece throughout the manufacturing process to ensure the end result is exactly to the correct specifications. The final piece will be shipped fully insured to you via FedEx and will require a signature upon receipt. If purchasing a diamond, the GIA Certificate will also be included with the finished piece.
